The Ten Kings of Revelation and The New World Order?

The Ten Kings that are mentioned in the Book of Revelation. What does the Prophecy say about The Ten Kings, are they here now, if not when will they appear, where and how and why. What is the significance of The Ten Kings in Revelation Prophecy.

The picture above is merely a demonstration of who the Ten Kings of Revelation could be at the time of writing in 2017.  It is not an indicator who the Ten Kings actually are!

There are many theories out there who The Ten Kings of Revelation are, ranging from that they will appear in Europe, others say they will appear in the Middle Eastern Region, to something that is more along the lines of the New World Order as in a global empire split into ten regions and ruled by ten kings for a short period of time.

The Bible Quotes concerning the Ten Kings in Revelation

Daniel 7:24
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

Revelation 17:12
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

Revelation 17:16.
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

As Revelation 17:16 demonstrates, there is a strong connection between Mystery Babylon known also as The Whore and The Ten Kings. The time span that these ten kings actually rule is mentioned as one hour which would be a prophetic one hour.

A prophetic week = 7 years (as mentioned in Daniel 9:24-27
A prophetic day =  1 year
A prophetic hour = 1 year or 52 weeks/24 = just over 2 weeks!

The Five Theories Simplified

1. The EU and Revived Roman Empire Theory hinted at in Daniel 2
The Roman Empire covered all countries that surrounded the Mediterranean at it's peak and some say that the European Union is fulfilling Bible Prophecy and reviving the Roman Empire as it potentially could be spreading into Turkey and maybe beyond at it's present rate.

The European Union (EU) is a political and economic union of a number of  countries in Europe. Since July 2013, there are 28 member states in the European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

The Prophecy that is often quoted in regards to this European Union Roman Empire Revival is the Daniel 2:32-35 and 40-43 below where Daniel reveals the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in which he saw a great image that nobody could interpret. The interpretation of this dream revealed to Daniel in a night vision which constituted the first comprehensive revelation

Daniel 2:32-35
32. This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
33. His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Daniel 2:40-43
40. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: inasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
41. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Many say the Ten Toes represent the Ten Kings and the Iron and the Clay represent the diversity of the region where the peoples will become one region but due to this diversity will not mix just like Iron and Clay will not mix. This new empire or kingdom will eventually take over the rest of the world.

It's a compelling prophecy when tied in with the European Union and ticks many boxes but it just has a few flaws that put a large fly in the ointment.
1. The Flag of Europe has 12 stars and not Ten that would indicate the Ten Regions strongly indicated by the Daniel Prophecy.
2. The European Union currently has 28 countries as members with a possible extra three including Turkey being considered to enter the mix. Considerably more than the ten strongly hinted at in Daniel and Revelation.
3. If the Roman empire was being revived via the European Union then surely the HQ would be based in Rome. At present it is based in Brussels.

2. The Middle East and Israel/Jerusalem Mystery Babylon Theory
Based on the very close relationship between Mystery Babylon and The Ten Kings in Bible Prophecy as illustrated in the verse from Revelation below.

Revelation 17:16.
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

If Mystery Babylon was indeed Jerusalem and Israel then the possibility of the Ten Kings being located in the Middle East rather than Europe would make prophetic sense. Israel is the only country in the Middle Eastern area that is predominantly non Muslim as in Jewish compared to the surrounding nations which are all without exception Muslim. It would make it the perfect target for the fulfilment of the Revelation 17:16 prophecy.

This theory is given even more credibility by Psalm 83 that is often quoted by Bible Scholars that mentions Israel and the following ten nations or peoples that could be The Ten Kings that turn against Mystery Babylon if indeed it is Israel and Jerusalem.

The Ten Nations mentioned against Israel in Psalm 83:4-8
Ten nations mentioned Edom, Ishmaelites, Moab, Hagarenes, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, The Philistines, Tyre, Assur

4. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6. The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7. Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8. Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

The "They" mentioned in Verse 5 many say is referencing The Ten Kings confirmed by some solid cross references mentioned in Revelation. (See video at end of article)

1. Edom= Palestinians and South Jordan

2. Ishmaelites=Saudi Arabia? Read also Genesis 25:12-16 for the history of the Ishmaelites

12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
13 And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
14 And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
15 Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
16 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.

3. Moab= Palestinians and Jordan along the Dead Sea

4. Hagarenes= Egyptians

5. Gebal= Hezbollah and North Lebanon

6. Ammon= Palestinians and North Jordan

7. Amalek= Sinai

8. The Philistines= Hamasof Gaza

9. Tyre= Hezbollah and South Lebanon

10. Assur= Syria and Northern Iraq (Assyria)

NB: See also The Assyrians mentioned in Ezekiel 23:4-10
Their original homeland was thought to be located in the area around the Tigris and Euphrates. Today, the indigenous Assyrian homeland areas are "part of today's northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran and northeastern Syria".

3. The Middle East and Mecca/Saudi Arabia Mystery Babylon Theory
A similar theory based on the very close relationship between Mystery Babylon and The Ten Kings in Bible Prophecy as illustrated in the verse from Revelation below.

Revelation 17:16.
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

If Mystery Babylon was indeed Mecca and Saudi Arabia rather than Israel and Jerusalem then the possibility of The Ten Kings being located in the Middle Eastern area yet again would make perfect sense in Prophecy terms and would tie in with the Middle Eastern theme that the Book of Revelation presents. Although Saudi Arabia is a Muslim nation just like it's surrounding neighbours, Saudi Arabia is the only Muslim country within the Middle Eastern Region that has extensive ties with The West via Oil especially the US via the Petro Dollar and other trades. Due to its location and also as a result of this relationship with the West, a Revelation 17:16 scenario  just like Israel and Jerusalem is a very real future reality? Saudi Arabia even more so than Israel is surrounding on nearly all sides by other countries!

The Ten Global Regions Theory
This theory is based around the first two verses mentioned in Revelation 13

Revelation 13:1-2
1. And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2. And the beast I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat and great authority.

The sea mentioned in these verses refers to many nations, tongues and countries and the Beast mentioned is the Anti Christ who eventually rules the world for a short period of time. Many say these two verses refer to the dawn of The New World Order which would refer to the words power, seat and great authority.

There are many theories on what the Ten Kings represent in New World Order terms but most agree in a New World Order context that the world would be temporarily split into 10 new (not currently existing) regions which as mentioned would be ruled over by Ten Kings for a short period of time. This short period mentioned earlier would equate to a "prophetic hour" which would equate to one week.

The G10 Nations Theory

The Group of Ten or The G10 is a group of historically Ten relatively prosperous industrial nations which was set up and agreed back in 1962 to lend money to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). They are Belgium, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, UK, and USA. Switzerland became the eleventh member, but the group is still called The G-10. Switzerland in many ways is a politically neutral country unlike it's other members.

Again this is another possibility where each member country would control a newly created region creating the ten toes of Daniel or the Ten Horns mentioned in Revelation.

Note: G-7/G-8 and G-10 are not related in any way though they have some members in common.

Summary

There are many more theories and possible Bible Verses that provide a few more details on who these Ten Kings could possibly be but the five theories mentioned previously which revolve round either a revived Roman Empire based on the current expanding European Union, Mecca or Jerusalem and the Middle East area and Ten Global Regions either set up by ten completely new Kings or Presidents or existing world leaders part of the G10, G12 or BRICS

When you look more closely at the Book of Revelation and the prophecy it contains you realise that the Middle East seems to contain the key to the course of events and how they unfold in prophecy terms.

Further details and theories about who and where the Ten Kings of Revelation are is explained in the video below.

The Twelve Gates You Tube Channel News May 2017

The latest news and developments from The Twelve Gates You Tube Channel. What's in, what's out, what's happening behind the scenes and new styles of videos that are or will be appearing.

Update Frequency
Updates used to be 2 times a week with the update days being highly variable. After a lot of thought this has now been changed over the last couple of months with updates now reduced to once a week on a firm date which is Wednesday normally between 2-4 pm UK Time. This may be later in the day if there are issues with uploading the video. Again if there are Bank Holidays or unforeseen issues, the update may be on a Thursday as a result. Quality over quantity is the aim of The Twelve Gates You Tube Channel and reducing the update to once a week ensures a better produced and better researched and more in depth video. Increasingly more complex topics are being tackled beyond the normal average videos you see on You Tube and this ensures that the main website is not affected in update terms.

Video Lengths/Duration
Video length or duration used to be up to a maximum of 40 or so minutes but recently some experimenting has been done with extra long videos which are a minimum of 1 hour and up to 1 and a half hours in length. If the subject matter is more complex or requires more time to explain then these longer videos will appear or they may come as a Part 1 and Part 2. BUT most videos will be around the 30-40 minute in length time which seems to be the sweet spot for videos which are concerned with Bible Prophecy.

Comments:
As the comments seem to have improved and are more frequent in recent months, any comments that are added will be checked within 24-48 hours so your comment if approved should appear quicker than it did in the past. I still don't respond to comments direct but see details of the NEW video format below.

NEW Q and A and Video Response
Another new experimental type of video was released in two parts about 3 weeks ago and they seem to be getting some sort of interest. These videos are video responses from myself in the form of a Q and A session responding to comments that are being received on videos at The Twelve Gates You Tube channel. The quality of the comments seems to be picking up recently and a lot are not that easy to respond to and require some research to give a decent answer. So these new Q and A Video Response Style videos are an attempt to answer comments that need answering and mean I can reply in my own time instead of having to answer in say 24 hours or so. These videos as stated earlier are experimental and may have a couple of news items thrown in the mix as well. Update frequency is variable depending on how many comments are coming in but at present about every 4-6 weeks seems about right at present. These video responses will feature limited Bible quotes are these are just myself responding to comments. The two experimental videos are Q and A Video Response 1 and Q and A Video Response 2.

NEW Prophecy Maps in Videos
The most recent Bible Prophecy videos have been primarily focused on scripture via the Xiphos Bible Software which seems to be a winning formula which will not be changed, but the software does have the ability to display Biblical maps as well, so these will be featured in a Prophecy study alongside the existing Bible verses. Other maps may be farmed in from elsewhere as well. Just adds another dimension to the video and breaks up the wall of text so it appeals to a wider audience. Photos of Biblical locations may also appear in future videos. The latest video "Map of Locations Mentioned in Revelation" is an example of the possible look of some but not all future videos. I find adding maps to the Bible verses really makes the scripture pop and it sinks in much stronger when you know where the actual location is. Not all of us live in the Middle East?

More in depth and complex topics with a Neutral bias
Most people on You Tube I am aware watch hundreds if not thousands of videos that cover the subject of Bible Prophecy. There must be hundreds of thousands of videos out there, some are good, many are not so good. The aim of this channel is to go into more depth than most and cover more complex topics but with a Neutral Bias which means no pushing of ideologies, opinions and views or agendas at the expense of arriving at the truth according to scripture, which is the main concern of this channel.

Bible Prophecy in the News
These Bible Prophecy News Videos were mentioned in the previous news update bu have as yet to materialise, something that is in the pipeline and being chewed over, these will be shorter in length probably between 3 and 10 minutes going into detail on the latest developments that fulfil Bible Prophecy popping up in the latest news headlines. Still on the drawing board but a couple of experimental videos will be appearing in the near future. These will appear as and when so could be once a week or once a month depending on what headlines are in the news.

Summary
The Twelve Gates You Tube Channel will always be trying out new things in connection with Bible Prophecy, trying out new formats, new styles but essentially it is all about Bible Prophecy and finding the truth via scripture. If the videos get interest they are continued, if they do not then obviously they will not.

The focus on this You Tube Channel will always be the Book of Revelation and books that cross refer to it such as Matthew 24 and from the Old Testament the Book of Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah and not forgetting Isaiah.

Analysis of locations mentioned in the Book of Revelation

The Island of Patmos and surrounding area where most of Revelation takes place.[/caption]A delve into the Prophecy Map featuring the key locations and events that are mentioned in Revelation with relevant Bible verses that appear in the Book of Revelation written by St John the Divine almost 2000 years ago.

Any location, geographical feature or event that is tied up to a recognisable location, has been extracted from the Book of Revelation to see where the Prophecy that it contains is focused, and what area it actually covers. This is an important element of the Prophecy contained within this Book as it focuses the mind on the area and course of events and what geographical area this Book of Revelation takes place. It also helps to rule out places and locations especially in connection with Mystery Babylon.

The locations that are mentioned in the Book of Revelation are the Island of Patmos, The 7 Churches of Asia Minor, Sodom and Egypt, Mount Zion, Jerusalem, Babylon, The Euphrates River, Armageddon and Gog Magog. A closer look into these places and the relevant Bible verses that shed some further light are listed below.

LOCATIONS

Patmos

Rev 1:9. I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Patmos is a Greek Island located in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Turkey and is famous for being the location where St John the Divine received his vision from Jesus. He was exiled by the Romans to this island because of his faith where John is said to have received his Revelation which was in a cave on that island. It has an area of just over 13 square miles. This island plays no role in the End Times Prophecy mentioned in this Book.

The 7 Churches
Rev 1:11. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

The infamous Seven Churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation include Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. On modern day maps these Churches are located on mainland Turkey. Some say these Churches are physical locations that John wrote to but are not physical buildings that we know today, as churches or the true church are a body of believers located at those locations stated. Others say that each church represents a particular age from the time that John wrote the Book of Revelation to the current day Church age that we live in now which would be Laodicea.

Sodom and Egypt
Rev 11:8. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

This is referencing the two witnesses which are killed by the Beast and lay in the streets for 3.5 days untouched but are resurrected back to heaven much to the amazement of onlookers. Again another Biblical sign in the last days which has yet to happen. The identity of these two witnesses is fiercely, debated in Prophecy circles.......that is a another article in it's own right.

The Great City that is mentioned many say has to be Jerusalem which is confirmed in the last few words that state "where our Lord was crucified". The reference to Sodom and Egypt is more of a spiritual reference but those locations are mentioned in more detail in the corresponding video which is at the foot of this article. Some say that Jerusalem is the Mystery Babylon mentioned in Revelation 17 and 18 and not the popular Rome, Mecca or US that is mentioned heavily on the net. This verse, some say is confirmation of that fact, with Sodom and Egypt being the two events where God judged heavily in a manner that would be remembered for all time. Again whether Jerusalem is Mystery Babylon is another article in it's own right that cannot be covered here.

Mount Zion
Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

Again Mount Zion is located in the Jerusalem area, one of the many Mounts mentioned in the Bible which also include Temple Mount (where the 1st and 2nd Temples were located) and The Mount of Olives where the infamous Olivet Discourse by Jesus took place. The Lamb referenced in this Bible quote is obviously Jesus himself and although Mount Sion is spelt with an S in the King James Version of the Bible, it is spelt with a Z in other versions. Some examples of other versions of the Bible and how they spell it below

International Standard Version
Then I looked, and there was the lamb, standing on Mount Zion! With him were 144,000 people who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

NET Bible
Then I looked, and here was the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were one hundred and forty-four thousand, who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

King James 2000 Bible
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

American Standard Version
And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads.

The 144,000 were mentioned earlier in Revelation 7 and again the identity of these is fiercely debated but for me personally the 144,000 are Jews that finally came to believe in Jesus made up of 12,000 each from the 12 Tribes of Israel.... which equates to the 144,000 mentioned which is confirmed by Revelation 7:3-4 below

Revelation 7:3-4
3. Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Jerusalem
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Jerusalem is mentioned yet again, only this time it is called New Jerusalem, this is the final destination after the Millenial Kingdom where those who believe in the Messiah will be for eternity. This is the closing stages of Revelation. It is mentioned as a Holy City that comes down from heaven but it is unclear where this city will be located, but the fact it is called New Jerusalem gives a strong hint where this Holy City will be ultimately located.

Babylon
Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Babylon is mentioned a number of times in the Book of Revelation and again was another city that was judged in the Old Testament. The Babylon that is mentioned in the New Testament Book of Revelation is named as Mystery Babylon as in this verse below.

Rev 17:5. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

The only verse in the whole Bible that uses predominantly Capital letters, this Mystery Babylon is something many say didn't exist at the time hence why St John used the mystery tag. Others say Rome back in the time that Revelation was written was referenced as Babylon due to the idolatry that took place there.

The Euphrates River
Rev 9:14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

Rev 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

The Euphrates is a major river that starts in Turkey and flows through Syria and Iraq and ends up flowing into the Persian Gulf. It forms yet another major indicator in Prophecy and a sign or confirmation of the Last Days. The Euphrates has been extensively dammed in recent years so the potential to dry the river up is there and some say it has dried up on some of the lower reaches, but it's when the river dries up in it's entirety BEHIND the dams then Revelation 16 Bible Prophecy would be staring us straight in the face in no uncertain terms.

Armageddon/Megiddo
Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

A very short and to the point verse which mentions Armageddon. The "he" mentioned is the Beast and the "them" is his army basically the world which will number in the hundreds of millions at least.

Armageddon is a bit of a mystery but it is a location. Armageddon is a Hebrew word, although it does not occur in the Old Testament. Its meaning is not exactly clear, but it is best taken to mean Mount Megiddo, since "Har" in Hebrew means mountain and "Mageddon" is the place-name of Megiddo. Megiddo is located in the Northern area of Israel to the South West of Nazareth, a name that should be familiar. Megiddo appears a number of times in the Old Testament.

Many battles were fought at the location of Megiddo, Deborah and Barak defeated Sisera and his Canaanite army there (Judges 4-5), Gideon drove off the Midianites and Amalekites ( Judges 6 ), Saul and the army of Israel were defeated because of their failure to trust in God ( 1 Sam 31 ), and the Egyptian army under Pharaoh Neco killed Josiah, king of Judah ( 2 Kings 23:29 ).

The battle that is mentioned in Revelation will be Armageddon. Good V Evil, the Beast and The World that worship him against Jesus and The Saints. Megiddo is where many say it will take place. See the photo in the video. It certainly looks like a place where such a battle could take place.

Gog Magog
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Again many say that Gog and Magog and Armageddon are the same battle. Some say Gog and Magog references the Anti Christ. Others say Magog is the equivalent to Modern Day Russia. Form your own opinion! Just like China is mentioned in Revelation (the 200 million strong army) Russia will also feature in End Times Prophecy and is mentioned by The Great Prophets in the Old Testament especially in Ezekiel.

Summary
The Book of Revelation is something you can spend a lifetime reading and still never really understand it. It is billed as the "Mystery" Book in the Bible and I often liken it to Isaiah in the Old Testament which has many cross references linking to Revelation and yet again, can be baffling at best. BUT as you read over and over again, it does slowly reveal itself to those who persevere and more importantly to those who need to see and know.

What is made abundantly clear in this study is that The Book of Revelation takes place in The Middle East, just like most of the Bible does, so why should Revelation be any different. Israel is the focal point and Jerusalem is the Holy City where all compass points are set. If anything is coming from the North, East or South (mentioned by Revelation and other Major Prophets) you can be certain they are coming from those directions in relation to Jerusalem!
