Why is there life on Earth and nowhere else?

The Billion dollar Question. Why is planet earth the only planet that can support life? OR Why is there only life on earth? OR Why is earth the only planet to sustain life OR Why does life exist on earth and nowhere else? I don't have the answer, I don't think anybody really does but that doesn't mean you can't attempt to find an answer either via Science or Religion.

This is a personal question and open ended article, that has been on the back of my mind since writing the The Big Bang Theory V God Created the Universe?  where the question was raised near the end with mutterings on this very subject........ excerpt below

On a final note, If science says that our world and our universe were created via The Big Bang, why is it that even now after discovering planetary systems outside our solar system and knowing now all the planets within our solar system, Planet Earth is the only one that has the capability to sustain life and importantly human life. Why is that………….is there a scientific explanation for that or is it an act beyond human grasp and the realms of science in what can only be called “Divine Intervention” by a higher superior power??

I'm not a Scientist or Astronomer but this question has also become more prominent with the Juno probe getting closer to Jupiter as we speak with it's ETA being 4th July 2016 which just happens to be Independence Day in the US. What will it find (if anything) will it find life even in it's primitive form or evidence there was life millions or billions of years ago..........but not now? Do the Moons of Jupiter instead of the Planet itself maybe hold the key to the existence of life. Will it provide answers to many questions, or will it merely provide answers that generate more questions with no answers?

Theories about Life on Earth and whether there is life beyond earth?

There are many theories why Earth can sustain plant, animal and human life and other planets in our solar system cannot. Here's some of those theories starting with the simpler theories that anybody can understand and onto the more complex answers which most people can't understand or don't want to understand..

1. The Goldilocks Zone. If you know the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story then this principle can apparently be applied to Planet Earth. Basically it's not so far away from the Sun that it is too cold to support life nor is it too close to the Sun that everything get's burnt to a frazzle.

2. The "We Don't Know" Theory. Some say yes there is life on this planet and the other planets in our solar system apparently do not have life, but are we really sure that is the case. We haven't conclusively proved that there is no life on other planets neither have we proven that there is life either. We don't have at present the technology or means to find out such things in short "We Don't Know" enough to say there is or is not life beyond earth, but that doesn't mean that there is no other life out there.

3. The "There is an Earth in every Solar System" Theory. This theory states that every solar system has a Sun or Bright Star of which there are planets at varying distances orbiting around it. These planets in similar solar systems will demonstrate the same properties as our solar system with life only being supported on the planet in the sweet spot or in the "Goldilocks Zone" such as Earth or it's equivalent and the rest will not be able to support life in any form. The only problem is we have no proof of that fact or the technology to prove that fact either. A recent NASA discovery back in 2013 proves this point. These planets seem earth like in appearance but can they sustain life. See the video below, again there is a chance that these planets are capable of supporting life BUT there is no evidence at present to prove that fact.

4. The UFO Effect. If you believe in aliens and UFO's then with all the sightings (confirmed or otherwise) there just has to be other forms of life out there and Planet Earth is not the only planet to support plant, animal or human life. There could be undocumented forms of life out there in the form of Alien life that doesn't fit into the normal three categories but is still a form of life none the less. Again we have no answers on this?

5. The "Life Comes to Us" Theory. Humans have only FOUND one planet with life....the one we are on. There could be tens, hundreds, or thousands of planets with life...we just can't find them. We might never find them. Unless...they find us.

6. "The Fermi Paradox" Theory or Fermi's paradox, named after Enrico Fermi, is the apparent contradiction between the lack of evidence and high probability estimates, for the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations. The basic points of the argument, made by physicists Enrico Fermi (1901–1954) and Michael H. Hart (born 1932), are:

There are billions of stars in the galaxy that are similar to the Sun many of which are billions of years older than Earth.
With high probability, some of these stars will have Earth-like planets and if the Earth is typical, some might develop intelligent life.
Some of these civilizations might develop interstellar travel, a step the Earth is investigating now.
Even at the slow pace of currently envisioned interstellar travel, the Milky Way galaxy could be completely traversed in about a million years.
According to this line of thinking, the Earth should have already been visited by extraterrestrial aliens?

7. The "Drake Equation". Apparently to detect any form of life in Space it's all down to a certain formula called The Drake Equation which answers the question How can we estimate the number of technological civilizations that might exist among the stars? The Drake Equation, was first presented by Frank Drake in 1961 and identifies specific factors thought to play a role in the development of such civilizations. Although there is no unique solution to this equation, it is a generally accepted tool used by the scientific community to examine these factors. Within the limits of our existing technology, any practical search for distant intelligent life must necessarily be a search for some manifestation of a distant technology according to Drake.

Here's the equation

[caption id="attachment_1046" align="aligncenter" width="540"]The Drake Equation The Drake Equation Where,[/caption]

N = The number of civilizations in The Milky Way Galaxy whose electromagnetic emissions are detectable.

R* = The rate of formation of stars suitable for the development of intelligent life.

fp = The fraction of those stars with planetary systems.

ne = The number of planets, per solar system, with an environment suitable for life.

fl = The fraction of suitable planets on which life actually appears.

fi = The fraction of life bearing planets on which intelligent life emerges.

fc = The fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space.

L = The length of time such civilizations release detectable signals into space.

The Biblical Explanation?

The biblical explanation doesn't have any mathematical formulas, doesn't rely on any inconclusive theories or rely on UFO's to prove that there is or is not life beyond this planet. It's all there in black and white in the first Book of the Bible called Genesis and in Chapter 1. God created the World and the Universe in Six Days and rested on the Seventh.

BUT many Christians think, ‘God must have created life elsewhere, otherwise this enormous universe would be an awful waste of space.’ This seems to be the major underlying reason why people think that there must be other life 'out there'. However, our thinking should be based on what God said He did (in the Bible), and not what we think He would, should or might have done.

There is mention of other worlds in the Bible with this verse

Hebrews 11:3: ‘Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.’

There is mention of God's creation in Psalm 8:1,3,9 which states, “O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth, Who hast displayed Thy splendor above the heavens! …When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which Thou has ordained; …O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth!”

But there is no mention of other life beyond our planet. The Old Testament refers only to the Earth and the Heavens and does not imply that stars are merely distant suns with other potential worlds in orbit, indeed, it does not even imply that there are other worlds in orbit around our own sun. There is no mention of other life in other worlds in the Bible, only on this planet. Did God plan it this way, is Earth really the only planet that has any form of life and that is how it was intended and no matter how hard we look, we will not find any other life for that reason?

Maybe you have the answer? Which brings us back to the original question. Why does life exist on earth and nowhere else?

Genome Editing and Eugenics. Is man starting to play God?

Enter the brave new world of Genome Editing, Eugenics and CRISPR. Gene editing is the new breakthrough kid on the block that is causing a major stir not only in scientific circles but has far reaching consequences in all corners of life and society, even animals and plants. In short if it has a gene and is alive and on this planet, it now has the potential t be edited. This was hitting the headlines a couple of months back earlier this year in 2016.

We have seen the development of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), Test Tube Babies, Surrogate Mothers and this next development really draws a line in the sand between the natural world and the brave new world of Science and Technology.

A recent Panorama video sheds some light on this fascinating but equally scary science on our doorstep that claims to have the answers and cures for all the worlds diseases and problems and even gives scientists the ability to potentially control evolution and "Play God". BUT is this a good thing or are somethings better left alone and left to their natural devices as in "Nature" or the higher powers?

In a world first, Chinese scientists have reported editing the genomes of human embryos. The results were published in the online journal Protein & Cell and confirm widespread rumours that such experiments had been conducted — rumours that sparked a high-profile debate recently in scientific and other circles about the ethical implications of such work.

British scientists recently have received permission to alter the DNA of human embryos within the overall mission of correcting devastating diseases in the womb. The work of one authorized stem cell scientist, using embryos donated by couples with a surplus after IVF treatment, will look at the fertilized eggs' development from a single cell to about 250 cells. The research could help scientists understand why some women lose their babies before term, and provide better clinical treatments for infertility, using conventional medical methods.

The real reason/purpose and goal of gene editing is eliminating serious diseases like cystic fibrosis and cancer, as well as improving fertility rates and In Vitro Fertilisation techniques and reducing miscarriages. The problem is this science/technology is opening a Pandora’s box of potential problems and is raising ethical questions and posing real long term risks from what amount to short to medium term solutions. No one at present knows the outcomes of adopting this science. Genetic alterations can be passed down to future generations, for example. The concept of designer babies and Eugenics is now a distinct reality with this new found gene editing with all the moral implications that this raises.

A look at the definitions and terms of this new emerging Science/Technology that include Genome Editing, CRISPR and Eugenics, that could radically change our lives for the better and the worse.

The Definition of Gene (Genome Editing) Editing:
Genome editing, or genome editing with engineered nucleases (GEEN) is a type of genetic engineering in which DNA is inserted, deleted or replaced in the genome of an organism using engineered nucleases, or "molecular scissors."

What is CRISPR:
CRISPR, or Clustered Regularly Interspaced Palindromic Repeats, is the technology behind gene editing. It identifies certain genes, cuts them, and rewrites their DNA. It has been used successfully to create bigger dogs and has even created micro-pigs, which are popular as pets.

The definition of Eugenics:
It is a social philosophy advocating the improvement of human genetic traits through the promotion of higher rates of sexual reproduction for people with desired traits (positive eugenics), or reduced rates of sexual reproduction and sterilization of people with less-desired or undesired traits (negative eugenics).

What are the potential problems and pitfalls of this new Genetic Scientific Discovery.

Here's what can happen with this Scientific discovery that is still very much in it's early stages. If you remember the film with Will Smith called "I am Legend" where they discovered a cure for cancer which was administered to the masses with dire consequences. This discovery has the exact same potential. Here's a few scenarios that have occurred that demonstrate that we are in new territory and not entirely sure what the end result will be.

The Intro News Scene from "I Am Legend". Cancer is cured?

The Result of the miracle cure and "I Am Legend" Trailer.

Scenario 1: If mistakes are inadvertently made in the editing process............what happens? In mice, for example, researchers blocked a gene that caused cancer, but the mice ended up aging prematurely.

Scenario 2: Correcting one mutation might cause another that can become hereditary and passed onto children. Then that person might even avoid having children, so it’s life-affecting down through a family line.

Scenario 3. At present Gene editing is not permitted  in the U.S. — so far. Last spring after Chinese researchers reported their use of CRISPR to edit the genes of human embryos for the first time, the Obama administration said it opposed such research in the US.

Scenario 4: With Eugenics things start to come into play as it has in the past in several countries, where leaders tried to build ‘better, more desirable people. Hitler is one example who's aim was to build the perfect blonde haired blue eyed "Aryan" race.

Scenario 5: There is concern about this whole notion of there being rogue private and unregulated underground clinics doing these things that are not authorised or in the black market. This would be done purely for financial gain with no concern over the legal, moral or long term hereditary health of those concerned.

Scenario 6: Designer Babies is the obvious final genie in the bottle which could generate a whole new world but one with Frankenstein potential.

Scenario 7: The obvious. Is man equipped to understand Genetic Editing of Human Embryos and Equal to Playing God?

Conclusions:

In every area of our lives we are on the verge of a "Brave New World" and mankind is starting to look and experiment with things which provide all the answers to all the worlds problems such as ageing, disease and other afflictions of the human condition. A recent article in The Guardian goes along with this hypothesis called Genetic editing is like playing God – and what’s wrong with that?

The problem is, where is all this leading, are we potentially reliving the Frankenstein experiment or the Hollywood film "I am Legend", do we really know the long term effect of essentially tampering with DNA, the very essence and building blocks of life. Is this really the answer to all our problems, or is this a step too far and going beyond nature and opening a Pandora's box that once opened can never be closed again.

Changing Nature and what God has created?
Here are some arguments from the Bible against changing what God has created. The following verses indicates that God who made the earth and the heavens, must be competent in making humans and this verse below is a good illustrator of the wrongness of research on human embryos. This verse speaks of how God knew us before we were even born, or even conceived. This would suggest that someone begins life before conception in the eyes of God.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.

You could argue that the following verse below from Ecclesiastes indicates we should not be tampering with what God ‘hath made crooked’. However, it appears to be arguing that we cannot, NOT that we should not, change what God has done.

Ecclesiastes 7:13 Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?

I Corinthians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

Another verse on the mixing of animals and humans. What God has created is good and that we should leave it that way and not interfere.

Further General Bible Quotes:

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Proverbs 1:7 ESV
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Psalm 139:13-14 ESV
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

The Changing attitude towards Christian Messages and Symbols?

The changing attitude towards Christian Symbols

A sure sign that we are in the "Last Days" or "The End Times" is the attitude towards the Christian faith and Christians in general in what is currently being billed as "Anti Christian Sentiment" in society. We have witnessed the decline of the church (see The Decline of the Church. What's the future?) and seen a shift away from religion with currently 1.5 Bn people on this planet declare as either being athiest or agnostic or just simply NOT interested or not believing in Religion or God. This number is very much on the rise.

This article focuses on the the Changing attitude towards Christian Messages and Symbols abut does not focus on the human element of Christian Persecution as that is a whole other topic entirely. We have seen a marked shift in attitude mainly in the US away from Christianity with terms like "in God We Trust" and the words "God" or "Jesus" in general seeming to not be acceptable in these modern times, this includes government, corporations and private individuals for some reason taking offence. This attitude is not restricted these days to the US but seems to be becoming a global thing. Why now in recent months and years remains a mystery? Is it a sure sign that we are in fact in "The Last Days"?

We have seen the removal of Christian teaching from schools, a recent advert in UK cinemas promoting "Prayer" a quite innocent and non trouble causing past time causing creating outrage again for some bizarre reason. Even the Prime Minister David Cameron came out in defense of the advert and said what is wrong with it and why is it offensive.

Christians around the world are getting persecuted in increasing numbers (that's another article entirely), Churches are getting mysteriously destroyed by fire. Crosses are becoming the victims of hatred and action to have them removed from buildings in public places because they cause offence to ethnic minorities and seems to be underway globally. Buildings in the US that have the Ten Commandments outside have had them removed in various states in the US. Even the US currency has come under pressure to have "in God We Trust" be removed because it doesn't fit in with our modern times. It just seems that the words God and Jesus are words that are not acceptable and "the Cross", carry some sort of extremist meaning and are not to be used in public these days in certain quarters.

An organisation that has made the headlines and is behind many of these attacks on religious phrases and symbols especially in connection with the Christian faith is The anti-Christian Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) . This foundation has been active and trying to get banned "in God We Trust" as previously mentioned in the US, college football chaplains and the act of group prayer before a game, to the National Day of Prayer and cheerleaders’ spirit banners,

A closer look in detail with relevant headlines at the recent "Anti Christian Sentiment" that is taking place around the world.

Church Arson
Recently in the last year or two there has been a marked increase in Church Arson, all occurring under mysterious circumstances. An example is the Church in India which is one of the fastest growing in the world, with hundreds of converts from Hindu and Muslim backgrounds. Persecution against the Church has increased over the past couple of years, and now with a resurging rise of Hindu Nationalism under India’s new President Narendra Modi, many fear that this will increase further. A widely held belief is that ‘being Indian’ means ‘being Hindu’, therefore Christians are seen to be deserters or traitors and are not following the "Indian Culture". Orthodox Christian Churches have also been the subject of mysterious arson attacks with four churches in New York and more in Australia in Melbourne and Sydney, Tanzania and Finland. Ethiopian Muslims have been attacking Christian Churches and the infamous Delhi Church attacks in India are amongst the other recent headlines.

In God We Trust. The US

A recent lawsuit to have "In God We Trust" removed from the US currency which was initiated by Atheists was turned down by the Supreme Court only recently but "In God We Trust" was to be installed on Police vehicles in Prescott, Wisconsin only to result in them being removed at the request of the local mayor. So in Wisconsin the general attitude is "In God We Don't Trust" at least when it comes to the police department. In other states another headline states that ‘In God We Trust’ Stickers Appearing On Police Cars Nationwide (October 2015) . In recent months, stickers bearing the words “In God We Trust” have appeared on police cars in several states, including Illinois, Kentucky and North Carolina, leaving critics to wonder about the cause.

The Ten Commandments Monuments. The US

The Ten Commandments Monuments which seems to be a strong feature in the US outside local government offices has seen them mysteriously being removed in various States often in the middle of the night. Oklahoma and Mississippi being the most famous recently. This is not only confined to local government offices but has been happening when a Ten Commandments sign appeared outside private property in Texas

The Bible Removal from Schools, Libraries and Hotels?

The Bible has been making the headlines in a surprising way in recent times and is coming up as one of the most challenged books of our time (only just recently) right up their with "Fifty Shades of Grey" if you can believe it. The Bible is coming up as one of the top books that people want banned from public places such as libraries, hotel room drawers and even universities. etc.

An organisation called FFRF (Freedom from Religion Foundation) sent a letter to Northern Illinois University (NIU), stating in part:

“Providing bibles to Holmes Student Center Hotel guests sends the message that NIU endorses the religious texts. Including bibles sends the message to non-Christian and non-religious guests that they should read the bible, and specifically the version of the bible provided: the Gideon Bible. Certainly, if guests want to read this religious text during their stay, they can bring their own copy or access any of the numerous churches or libraries near the university."

Removal of Crosses

Christian Crosses with or without Jesus on them are increasingly coming under fire for removal from public places such as parks, outside church buildings, from parks and even to be removed from the clothing of the clergy to make Muslims welcome? There is evidence of this in Central London in buildings inside and outside as mentioned in a previous article with The Church of England seeming to be leading the way in this move so that "religious minorities don't take offence". It seems to be perfectly OK for a crescent moon to be displayed over a mosque though. Why again is a mystery. Maybe a crescent moon isn't as offensive as a cross??

China seems to be coming increasingly under fire for removal of Crosses from Churches and The Army has been involved with Cross removal in some cases elsewhere. Controversy in  Norway as well where crosses were offered to be removed to please migrants??

Conclusion

This is a small sample of things that are going on around the world where the Christian faith is coming under increasing hostility from all quarters, and that's things that get reported, many of these incidents probably never get reported. What appears here I think is just the tip of the iceberg. This is just another piece in the End Times last Days Jigsaw Puzzle that when pieced together with many other pieces paint a very clear picture that we are in fact in a Book of Revelation scenario. All forms of light are being removed and extinguished and being replaced by darkness. It's a creeping insidiuos process but it is happening, and globally.

It's especially prevalent in the US and this country seems to be turning it's back on God just as Israel did back in the day. This quote sums it up well and what happened as a result.

Judges 2:12-14

12. And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

13. And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

14. And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

Further Bible Quotes:

2 Timothy 3
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Peter 3:3-4
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

1 Corinthians 4:5 - Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Matthew 10:33 - But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Muslims seeing Jesus and converting to Christianity?

Muslims seeing Jesus and converting to Christianity

Increasingly in these bizarre times, I'm bumping into news headlines and videos that seem like the impossible claiming that Muslims (sometimes in quite large numbers) are converting to Christianity after seeing Jesus in one shape or form or dreaming about him. I was a bit sceptical at first as you would be, but after bumping into more of these headlines and at an increasing frequency and from respected sources, I thought I'd better take a closer look. Just for the record I'm not seeing this phenonenom in reverse, as in Christians converting to the Muslim faith in any large numbers. It does happen but not in the numbers that are being reported increasingly via various sources from Muslim to Christianity..

This is a shorter than normal article and is centred around 4 powerful videos showing individual cases why they converted from Islam to the Christian Faith. I let these videos do the talking as they are very strong and convincing cases.

I could go into great detail comparing the Muslim and Christian Faith, showing their similarities and differences. or to demonstrate that one religion is real and one is false or man made. I could say that the Muslim Faith came after Christinanity. But then you could say Christianity came after Judaism. Does that make one religion more valid or truer than the other because it is newer or older? I could say there are 2.2bn Christians on the Planet and 1.6bn Muslims....... and rest my case. I could say there are no extremist versions of Christianity whereas in Islam there is.......... and could rest my case again. Apostasy (as in leaving the faith) in the Christian faith is not punishable by death but in Islam it is? In Christianity women are more equal than they are in Islam? The list goes on, but fundamentally these things don't change anything. It is a human choice to either believe or not believe, to be religious or not, to follow one religion over another and follow whatever denomination within that religion in preference to another. That is something as a Christian I respect.

Video 1: THOUSANDS OF MUSLIMS SEE JESUS IN DREAMS AND VISIONS?

This article is not against Muslims, doesn't aim to prove that the Christian Faith is the truth and the Muslim Faith is not, or is superior in any way, it's not even designed as a sales pitch or as a conversion platform. My attitude to faith in any shape or form is "you will come to it and then it will come to you"........ rather than the reverse of "It will come to you and then you will come to it" . Somebody banging on your door with a Bible preaching or from any other religion could be the gateway into the faith but a Bible quote sums  up what I'm trying to say quite nicely.

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you

As one person I used to work with who was in the Jewish faith and I showed a passing interest in his faith said to me

You come to us Frank........we don't come to you! Something that has stuck in my mind to this day.

That in no uncertain terms is how I came into the Chrisitan faith. I went looking for answers, I knocked and I found. Nobody came to me. See my Testimony

Video 2: A video below of an ISIS Extremist that converted to Christianity ..... on what for some is a heated debate!

Islam is set to become the worlds largest religion in 55 years time?

According to the Christian Today website they had this to say sourced from recent studies about the progression of the Islam and Christian faiths in number terms.

Islam will reportedly become the world's largest religion 55 years from now based on recent projections, but the barbarous practices of the Islamic State could undermine the growth of the world's Muslim population, experts said. According to a recent Pew Research Center study, Christianity and Islam will be near parity by 2050, with Christians expected to comprise 31.4 percent of the planet's population against 29.7 percent who follow Islam.

The study said Islam will grow more than twice as fast as any other major religion over the next half century because of a higher fertility rate in Muslim dominated countries.
However, Muslims frightened by the inhumane acts by the ISIS, which the militants claim they are doing in the name of their god Allah, are now questioning their very own faith, and presumably considering to leave it, CBS News reported. This is backed by testimonies from missionaries working in the Islamic world who noted that more Muslims have converted to Christianity in the last 14 years since the devastating Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the US. The number of converts in the recent period, they said, is greater than during the entire 14 centuries of Islamic history.

Video 3: Why Nabeel Qureshi Questioned His Muslim Faith and Converted to Christianity

Does the "Thousands of Muslims converting to Christianity" story have any truth to it?

The Christianity.com website one of the leading lights on the web with regards to Christianity had this to say about this recent phenomenom sourced from somebody at ground level as in a Missionary.

Extraordinary stories about massive number of Muslims converting to Christ are appearing around the world. Recently at World Magazine, writer Warren Cole Smith interviewed 25-year missionary David Garrison who has documented his findings about the Muslim phenomenon. “There is a revival in the Muslim world,” Garrison says. He believes between 2 and 7 million former Muslims have converted to Christianity in the past two decades. His book, A Wind in the House of Islam, contains impressive research to back up his claim.

Why is this happening? Grab the rest of the article to find out why? at Christianity.com

On a final note, a powerful and true story of another Muslim to Christianity conversion. This one is the ultimate test of faith......I rest my case!

Workplace Surveillance in 2016 and the George Orwell Predictions

Workplace Surveillance in 2016

Welcome to the world of Employee Monitoring and Employee Surveillance and the resulting invasion of employee privacy. The Orwellian Society and workplace scenario as illustrated in the Book "1984" by George Orwell which plays on The New World Order theory and in the corresponding film of the same name, was a shocker at the time and still is. BUT what was predicted way back then is about 25 years behind schedule, but it is here now and in a big way, it's evolving and becoming more vigorous as every day passes. This is a supplementary article to the recent RFID and Biometrics which was more general in nature and more focused on outside the workplace and at home. This article also ties in with the New World Order Myth or Reality article which is what the Orwellian Big Brother New world Order Society is based on.

Here we take a look at what is developing in the workplace in technology terms, is it something to worry about, the privacy and legal implications and can you really avoid this Orwellian surveillance scenario, all this and more will be tackled in what is an absolute minefield of the workplace. The debate rages on as to whether it is moral, ethical and legal for employers to monitor the actions of their employees in such a detailed and increasingly intensive way.

Before we start, it has to be said that Workplace Surveillance has been around since the Victorian Times when factories started to spring up. Clocking In and Out was the norm in those days which essentially gave a time when you arrived, when you left and when you had a lunch break (if any) and how long for. Your boss would also be watching over you whilst you worked in some shape or form. All rudimentary stuff which has survived right into modern day society, but now instead of clocking in and out we have swipe cards or something similar which form the double function of providing a clock in clock out card and also a security pass and ID to enter and leave the building at where you work.

This is something that most people are quite prepared to accept, it goes with the territory, if you have a problem with that then you're probably better of being self employed! Where things start to get close to the line or start crossing personal boundaries is when you are monitored beyond that level and everything you say, your movements within the building, who you talk to and increasingly your moods and what you are thinking are coming under closer scrutiny all in the name of "Productivity" and "Security". This is when the film and the George Orwell Book 1984 and it's realistic creepiness springs to mind. Why do organisations go through all this trouble? Organizations engage in employee monitoring to track performance, increase productivity, avoid legal liability, protect trade secrets, and address other security concerns, it's that simple.

We are at that the stage now where we are dealing with a world even worse that anything Orwell could have foreseen. Take for example CCTV alone, at least Winston [Winston Smith in Orwell’s novel 1984] was able to go out in the countryside and go under a tree and expect there wouldn’t be any screen, as it was called. There was somewhere to go to escape. BUT today and in the future there are many parts of the English countryside where there are more cameras than George Orwell could ever have imagined. So the situation in some cases is far worse already, and that's just at the time of writing in 2016.

We now have advanced Employee monitoring software and corresponding hardware, Telephone tapping, Email surveillance, Social Media activity watching,Video surveillance, Location monitoring, Work Server and Work Station monitoring. That's just in an office environmemt, there's no escape when you are out on the road either with GPS and vehicle tracking and Telematics. It's not only the privacy concerns that we are being constantly monitored on a daily basis but the worrying concern is what happens to all this digital data, where does it go and most importantly ...............what do people do with it?

What can an employee use monitoring and surveillance for? The following uses of employee information are generally considered legal:

Find needed business information when the employee is not available.
Protect security of proprietary information and data.
Prevent or investigate possible criminal activities by employees.
Prevent personal use of employer facilities.
Check for violations of company policy against sending offensive or pornographic email.
Investigate complaints of harassment.
Check for illegal software.

According to Computer Monitoring: The Hidden War Of Control,“The employer of today has the ability and legal right to read e-mail, review files stored on a company computer, examine computer usage, and track individual employee computer activities. The idea of anonymous actions is an illusion. Every action between a network and the computers connected to it can be tracked. Every action by an individual worker on a computer can be tracked, analyzed and used against the employee. The protections and freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are there to protect the individual from the Government and do not generally apply to the normal employee/employer relationship.”

What are the laws that allow this monitoring?

The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA)
The Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practice)(Interception of Communications) Regulations 2000 (LBP)
The Data Protection Act 1988 (including the 2003 Code, Monitoring at Work) – Employers must act in accordance with the DPA and its 8 key principles.

What if any rights do Employees have about being under surveillance?

The Human Rights Act 1998 also plays an important role here as it gives individuals’ a right to privacy and the UK’s laws try to recognise that employees may feel that monitoring by their employer at work is intrusive.

The latest Employee Monitoring software and hardware and surveillance techniques.
Things are now moving onto a new level with ever more intrusive technology in hardware and software form

Worksnaps is a piece of software that takes regular screenshots of a worker’s computer screen (with their full knowledge), counts their mouse and keyboard clicks each minute, and even offers the option of capturing webcam images. The customer testimonials are worth reading. One small business owner enthuses that she was able to “find and weed out” workers who were chatting on Facebook even though she was in the US and they were in the Philippines.

Workday, a human resources software company, makes a product called Collaborative Anytime Feedback that promises to turn the annual performance review into a daily event whereby colleagues give feedback on your performance. However, many workers called it a river of intrigue and scheming. They described making quiet pacts with colleagues to bury the same person at once, or to praise one another lavishly. General Electric, long a standard-setter in management practices, began a pilot project last year in which a smartphone application similar to Workday was used to give workers instant feedback from bosses and colleagues.

An executive from Kronos, a “workforce management” company, who waxed lyrical about the potential for wearable technology to measure workers’ tiredness levels in real time. She reasoned this would help employers not to overwork their staff?

The case of Amazon and Employee Montoring

Last week’s revelations of the lengths Amazon goes to monitor staff come amid growing evidence that thousands of other companies are using technology to check on workers

In Amazon warehouses, employees are monitored by sophisticated electronic systems to ensure they are packing enough boxes every hour. (Amazon came under fire in 2011 when workers in an eastern Pennsylvania warehouse toiled in more than 100-degree heat with ambulances waiting outside, taking away laborers as they fell. After an investigation by the local newspaper, the company installed air-conditioning.)

But in its offices, Amazon uses a self-reinforcing set of management, data and psychological tools to spur its tens of thousands of white-collar employees to do more and more. “The company is running a continual performance improvement algorithm on its staff,” said Amy Michaels, a former Kindle marketer.

The surveillance doesn't stop at employees. Amazon has a powerful lever: more data than any retail operation in history. Its perpetual flow of real-time, ultradetailed metrics allows the company to measure nearly everything its customers do: what they put in their shopping carts, but do not buy; when readers reach the “abandon point” in a Kindle book; and what they will stream based on previous purchases. It can also tell when engineers are not building pages that load quickly enough, or when a vendor manager does not have enough gardening gloves in stock.

Where are things heading 2016 and beyond?

Wearable health trackers
Activity-tracking devices made by companies like Fitbit, Jawbone and Misfit are increasingly popular gadget purchases, but they’re also making their way into the workplace: research firm Gartner estimates that 10,000 companies offered activity-trackers to staff in 2014. Their motivation is being questioned, Again where does the information go?

Monitoring your night-time habits
Personal sleep monitoring – sometimes using standalone devices or sometimes built in to fitness-trackers like Fitbit – sounds like a good idea, but would you want your employer to know how much shut-eye you’re getting? Meanwhile, a flurry of reports in 2013 called attention to the prospect of daily testing of employees’ alcohol levels, with fingerprint-scanning device AlcoSense TruTouch taking just 10 seconds to return a reading.

Augmented reality
From warehouse workers to plumbers and electricians, people will be able to access data and services with a flick of their eyes. The risks? Information overload: emails and notifications in your face throughout the day. The danger of an entire workforce becoming walking human CCTV cameras is not far from reality

Anonymous feedback tools
Amazon’s “secret feedback” system, used anonymously by employees to praise – or criticise – one another to bosses. Amazon claims most of the comments are positive but workers interviewed for the report said it could also be used to gang up on colleagues through coordinated campaigns of negative feedback. As this kind of “collaborative anytime feedback” technology spreads to other companies, moaning about colleagues in the pub could be replaced by anonymous complaints that feed directly into their performance reviews – and its anonymous nature may hamper their ability to defend themselves.

Driving-monitoring apps
Insurance companies including Aviva and Admiral have launched apps for drivers that score their driving safety based on cornering, braking and acceleration, and then offer the best ones a discount on their insurance.

Sociometric badges
That badge hanging from your neck to get in to your workplace? What if it also recorded your daily interactions? This is the idea behind sociometric badges, which capture “face-to-face interactions” of the wearer, as well as speech and body movement, then serve all this data up for analysis by employers.

Happiness analytics
Hitachi unveiled a new badge – slogan: “Human Big Data” – which aims to measure your happiness. How? A mysterious algorithm based on your physical activity, from how quickly you walk to how often you nod. Hitachi says this data will be aggregated to provide an overall happiness score for a workplace? Headworn devices Melomind and Thync, even claim to change your mood via electrodes stimulating the brain. The science remains under debate.

Facial recognition technology
Privacy concerns around facial recognition tend to focus on two areas: its use by police and the government in the monitoring of citizens, and the worry that if Facebook is working on it (which it is), it must be up to no good.. Think about fears of companies Googling potential employees using software to scan for their faces in photos across the web – from drunken nights out to public protests.

Security Drones
One of the uses being mooted is for building security: drones capable of zipping around buildings, filming any intruders. Concerns here about the question of whether these drones will also film staff, and what will happen to the footage.

Corporate security
Most of these changes in the workplace will create huge amounts of data on employees, from personal activity and email archives to photographs and footage of them going about their business. In an era of increased data collection within the workplace, what your employer plans to do with this data may be the least of your worries, hacking of your data from outside will be the new concern..

Legal Cases
Legal cases are started to spring up and there seems to be a cyber snooping revolution underway with not everybody submitting to this Orwellian style invasion and controlling of their lives.

Myrna Arias, a Southern California saleswoman for Intermex, a money-transfer company based company in Miami, was required to download an app on her cellphone that tracked her whereabouts 24 hours a day, she claims in a lawsuit now pending in federal court. Ms. Arias’s suit quotes her manager as saying, perhaps jokingly, that he knew how fast she was driving at all times.“Ms. Arias believed it was akin to wearing a felon’s ankle bracelet,” said her lawyer, Gail A. Glick. She deleted the app and was fired. Her suit, which accuses Intermex of invasion of privacy and wrongful termination, seeks $500,000 in lost wages. Neither Intermex nor its lawyers responded to requests for comment.

One of many cases that face recently gone to court with employees turning the tables on employers.

Conclusion

We have gone in the space of less than 100 years from clocking in and out cards and being watched occasionally by your boss to see that you are working to a world way beyond that even predicted by the George Orwell Book called 1984 which is basically about the New World Order in it's purest form.

Bodily functions, thoughts, happiness levels, movements, what you view on a computer, what you get up to on the weekends and way more are either being monitored now or will be in the very near future. Personal freedoms are being eroded in the workplace and with the disposable attitude to the modern day "zero hours contract" or "part time" workforce , employees just accept that this is the future and not much can be done about it. Every pillar in modern day society is heading in the same direction and is becoming digitised and monitored all in the name of productivity, safety and happiness and well being. The main worry is not the systems that are being implemented but the resulting data that is produced and where it all goes and what's done with it............that really is the burning question?

Bible Quotes:

This is a bible quote that was quoted by George Orwell in connection with the Book Film/1984. The orginal King James Version below

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Ecclesiastes 9:11

The original version interpreted by George Orwell?
“Objective consideration of contemporary phenomena compels the conclusion that success or failure in competitive activities exhibits no tendency to be commensurate with innate capacity, but that a considerable element of the unpredictable must invariably be taken into account.”

The first is The Word of God and the second is the word of man. You decide

Final Bible Quote to ponder over and not from The Book of Revelations that tackles this Privacy/Surveillance issue, this was written thousands of years ago?

Luke 12:1-3

1. In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

The Teachings of Jesus that feature the word Verily

Jesus and the Word Verily?

This is an in depth look at the Sayings or Teachings of Jesus which are distinct from the "Parables" of Jesus (see The Parables of Jesus). These sayings are seen throughout the New Testament that begin with Verily or even Verily Verily being used frequently in the King James Version of the Bible (KJV). Why is this?

“Verily” (meaning truly) translates the word “Amen” which is a Hebrew word left untranslated in the Greek New Testament. If we think about this when we pray we also say Amen at the end of the prayer. BUT  literally, Jesus says “Amen,  I say to you.” when he is preaching in the Bible. Only Jesus speaks like this in the Bible, not even one of his twelve disciples speaks in this way. Countless times He says “Amen, I say to you”. In John his sayings double the certainty: “Amen, Amen I say to you.” And on every occasion it’s the preface to his teaching. but Jesus actually uses this phrase in his own sayings. Most frequently  in Matthew and also doubled many times in John amongst many other Books in the New Testament!

In the New International Version of the Bible (the one most commonly seen in the Church) Verily has been translated to "Truly" and this word was placed normally at the beginning of the saying to illustrate some importance to what was being said. This happened quite frequently throughout the New Testament, frequently enough for it to be noticed hence this article. These sayings are normally contained in one or at maximum a couple of verses and are short and too the point rather than the parables which tend to be mini stories and therefore much longer.

A summary below of every occurrence of any saying or teaching from Jesus that had the word "Verily" either at the beginning or somewhere within the saying. There are 98 that were found. There could be more. It must be stated that the sayings or teachings below and The Parables emphasize the fact that everything Jesus Christ said, or did, was important, or it would never have been said, or done.

If you have been drawn to this article just a few of these sayings or maybe all will have some impact. They have been left for your own interpretation and the context that the saying was used you would need to read the whole chapter to "Truly" understand the meaning contained within that verse, but many stand on their own.....if not all of them.

The Big Bang Theory V God Created the Universe?

Who or what created the world? Did God create the World as mentioned in the Bible in the first Book of Genesis or does Science now have all the answers and everything started with the "Big Bang" or what is hailed as "The Big Bang Theory". We live in a world now where you could say Science is taking on Religion, where Science thinks it has all the answers, everything has been explained away, Religion is nonsense with people believing in something that doesn't exist. Everything is now atoms, molecules, particles, chemical reactions, electronic pulses and dna and other things that have nothing to do with Religion whatsoever.

Introduction

How was our Universe created? How did it come to be the seemingly infinite place we know of today? And what will become of it, ages from now? These are the questions that have been puzzling philosophers and scholars since the beginning the time, and led to some pretty wild and interesting theories. Today, the consensus among scientists, astronomers and cosmologists is that the Universe as we know it was created in a massive explosion that not only created the majority of matter, but the physical laws that govern our ever-expanding cosmos. This is known as The Big Bang Theory.

Basically there are two camps here Evolutionary Theory (Science) and Creationism (Religion). Evolutionary theory is a scientific theory, as in it is a well substantiated explanation, acquired by the use of scientific method, that is accepted by the majority of subject matter experts as the best explanation of a collection of natural phenomena known as evolution. Creationism is a collection of ideas, ranging from literal readings of the Book of Genesis in the Bible to the simple belief that life originated from a divine being.

The Big Bang Theory
1. The basics of the Big Bang theory are fairly simple. In short, the Big Bang hypothesis states that all of the current and past matter in the Universe came into existence at the same time, roughly 13.8 billion years ago. At this time, all matter was compacted into a very small ball with infinite density and intense heat called a Singularity. Suddenly, the Singularity began expanding, and the universe as we know it began.

2.Alternative Version The Big Bang is a scientific theory about how the universe started, and then made the groups of stars (called galaxies) we see today. The universe began as very hot, small, and dense, with no stars, atoms, form, or structure (called a "singularity"). Then about 14 billion years ago, space expanded very quickly (thus the name "Big Bang"), resulting in the formation of atoms, which eventually led to the creation of stars and galaxies. The universe is still expanding today, but getting colder as well.

As a whole, space is growing and the temperature is falling as time passes. Cosmology is the name given to how the universe began and how it has developed. Scientists that study cosmology agree the Big Bang theory matches what they have observed so far.

What Is The Evidence For The Big Bang?

What caused the Big Bang?

The question of what caused the Big Bang is one of the most difficult facing humanity. We may never find an answer, and even if we do, we probably won't understand it. It's difficult to imagine an event occurring without a cause, and yet, that is precisely the prospect we are faced with when it comes to this question. More on theories on what caused the Big Bang later in this article.

God Created the Earth and the Universe

Now going to the opposite end of the Spectrum into the realm of Religion and Christianity we find that the process of the creation of earth and the universe was the result of divine intervention and it was a more gradual process, that took 6 days with each day the results were observed, if they were good, then this led to the next days divine intervention until the process was complete on the sixth day with the seventh day being the day of rest for the Lord, what you could say our weeks are based on to this very day.

Most Christians think that Science is not in competition with Religion or even defying it but actually supports the Christian argument.

So with the God Angle and the famous Bible quote where God created the Earth and the Universe in six days and rested on the seventh. Below in it´s entirety how the universe and our world was created from Day 1 to Day 7

Day 1 Genesis 1:1-5
1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Day 2 Genesis 1:6-8
6. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Day 3 Genesis 1:9-13
9. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Day 4 Genesis 1:14-19
14. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Day 5 Genesis 1:20-23
20. And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Day 6 Genesis 1:24-28
24. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth

Day 7 Genesis 2:1-3
1. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

The Young Earth Creationism V The Old Earth Creationism

Young Earth Creationism
Young Earth creationism (YEC) is the religious belief that the Universe, Earth and all life on Earth were created by direct acts of God between 5,700 and 10,000 years ago. Christians are the main believer of this YEC, whowill use a literal interpretation of the creation narrative in the Bible's Book of Genesis and believe that God created the Earth in six 24-hour days.

Old Earth Creationism
Old Earth creationism (OEC) is an umbrella term for a number of types of creationism, including gap creationism, progressive creationism, and evolutionary creationism. Old Earth creationism is typically more compatible with mainstream scientific thought on the issues of physics, chemistry, geology and the age of the Earth, in comparison to young Earth creationism. There are Christians in this camp (including myself) that think the world was not created in six days, maybe six days in God terms but a God day is not equivalent to a human day and such a divine creator is beyond time itself. 1 day could literally be thousands of years in human terms maybe even millions. The bible is not taken as a literal timeline but is seen as a book of faith. That's the OEC view

A 2009 poll by Harris Interactive found that 39% of Americans agreed with the statement that "God created the universe, the earth, the sun, moon, stars, plants, animals, and the first two people within the past 10,000 years", yet only 18% of the Americans polled agreed with the statement "The earth is less than 10,000 years old"??

My Opinion

In my opinion the Young Earth theory, and the Bible in particular certainly does not support such a fact. Nowhere does it say in the Bible that the Earth is either young, neither does it tell us this is an important factor, neither does it assert that it is at all relevant in anyway, therefore, any Christian that supports this theory is following the ideology of assumptive time-wasting humans, that are doing more to discredit the Bible than actually promote its positive spiritual message. The Bible does however tell us that a day to God can be thousands of years to a human and that a day for a human can be a thousand years for God. The Earth is far more ancient that the 6,000 years theory, it just has to be......but again that's just my view I'm an OEC Christian and not a YEC

If the Big Bang Created the Universe. Who or What Created the Big Bang?

This is where the problems start to creep in with Scientific Theory. You could say it is the Chicken and Egg scenario. Science is very good at explaining things that have happened in the past or about things that happen on a daily basis. The problem is this, as I say many times, Science can only provide an answer to a question which then unfortunately then raises more questions to explain that answer. Such a scenario is created with the Big Bang Theory. If the Big Bang did in fact create the universe and the world that we live in now..........the question is...........what created the Big Bang in the first place. Does Science have an answer for that, if it does, does that answer create even more questions that require more answers.

Even if science can explain what actually happened all those Millions of years ago and can maybe come up with some evidence to support that fact, one inescapable fact remains, the people who are coming out with these theories unfortunately were not their at the time all those Millions of years ago, the only one was there, if you believe that, God the Creator himself. As it is so well put in the Bible in the Book of Revelations:

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelation 1:8

A closer look at what Darwinism actually is a definition.

Another example of Scientific Theory is the Darwin Theory of Evolution and the infamous Book "the Origin of the Species" which states that humans are actually descended from apes who are our distant relatives. It has been pretty much universally accepted that apes or primates are where we came from. In Darwin's theory, species that did not adapt to changing environments or withstand the competition of other species faced annihilation.

Darwin's Theory of Evolution - The Premise and Theory
Darwin's Theory of Evolution is the widely held notion that all life is related and has descended from a common ancestor: the birds and the bananas, the fishes and the flowers -- are all related. Darwin's general theory presumes the development of life from non-life and stresses a purely naturalistic (undirected) "descent with modification". That is, complex creatures evolve from more simplistic ancestors naturally over time. In a nutshell, as random genetic mutations occur within an organism's genetic code, the beneficial mutations are preserved because they aid survival -- a process known as "natural selection." These beneficial mutations are passed on to the next generation. Over time, beneficial mutations accumulate and the result is an entirely different organism (not just a variation of the original, but an entirely different creature).

There's just one flaw with this theory. IF we are in fact descended from apes, as in evolved from them and in effect replaced them in evolutionary terms, why are apes still around, millions of years later in quite large numbers and proving quite successful in their own right? Squirrels is another good example, the red squirrel has all but disappeared from the UK replaced by the new breed of Grey Squirrel .You could say in evolution terms, the Grey has replaced the Red. The red squirrel is no more, or maybe low numbers in remote areas. Mammoths are distant relatives of the current elephants but died out with the ice age and are no longer around. Why hasn't the same happened with man and apes?

Flaws in the Darwin Theory of Evolution

(1) Fossil records often lacks transitional forms and that there are "explosions" of new life forms, a pattern of radiations that challenges Darwinian evolutionary theory.

(2) Many scientists have challenged the ability of random mutation and natural selection to produce complex biological features.

(3) Many lines of evidence for Darwinian evolution and common descent are weak:

SOME QUESTIONS AND THEORIES FROM INFIDELS:

Some brain stretching analysis on the Big Bang Theory, The First Cause Argument and Quantum Field Theory and The Perfect Vacuum. Text and information courtesy Infidels

The traditional first-cause argument rests on the assumption that everything has a cause. Since nothing can cause itself, and since the string of causes can't be infinitely long, there must be a first cause, namely, god. This argument received its classic formulation at the bands of the great Roman Catholic philosopher, Thomas Aquinas. He writes:

The Traditional First-Cause Argument: Saint Thomas's argument is this:

1. Everything is caused by something other than itself
2. Therefore the universe was caused by something other than itself.
3. The string of causes cannot be infinitely long.
4. If the string of causes cannot be infinitely long, there must be a first cause.
5. Therefore, there must be a first cause, namely god.
The most telling criticism of this argument is that it is self-refuting. If everything has a cause other than itself, then god must have a cause other than himself. But if god has a cause other than himself, he cannot be the first cause. So if the first premise is true, the conclusion must be false.

To save the argument, the first premise could be amended to read:

1'. Everything except god has a cause other than itself.

which brings us back to the first Bible quote

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelation 1:8

But then Infidels goes on to say this

Quantum electrodynamics reveals that an electron, positron, and photon occasionally emerge spontaneously in a perfect vacuum. When this happens, the three particles exist for a brief time, and then annihilate each other, leaving no trace behind. The spontaneous, temporary emergence of particles from a vacuum is called a vacuum fluctuation, and is utterly commonplace in quantum field theory. A particle produced by a vacuum fluctuation has no cause. Since vacuum fluctuations are commonplace, god cannot be the only thing that is uncaused.

Every place on Earth is subject to natural disasters, and there are many places where humans cannot live. Insects, on the other hand, seem to thrive almost everywhere. When the great biologist G. B. S. Haldane was asked what his study of living things revealed about god, he is reported to have said, "An inordinate fondness for beetles." If the Earth was created for us it certainly leaves something to be desired.

The big bang argument for the existence of god is supposed to succeed where the traditional first-cause argument fails. Let's see if it does. Ross's version of the argument goes like this:

6. Everything that had a beginning in time has a cause.
7. The universe had a beginning in time.
8. Therefore the universe had a cause.
9. The only thing that could have caused the universe is god.
10. Therefore, god exists.

BUT what about the Scientific theory called The Steady State Theory?

In cosmology, the Steady State theory is an alternative to the Big Bang model of the evolution of the universe. In the steady-state theory, the density of matter in the expanding universe remains unchanged due to a continuous creation of matter, thus adhering to the perfect cosmological principle, a principle that asserts that the observable universe is basically the same at any time as well as at any place. In other words there was NO Big Bang.

While the steady state model enjoyed some popularity in the mid-20th century, it is now rejected by the vast majority of cosmologists, astrophysicists and astronomers, as the observational evidence points to a hot Big Bang cosmology with a finite age of the universe, which the Steady State model does not predict.

Conclusion

In an age where we can press a button and order anything we like online and it comes to our door without us even leaving the house, rockets can go to the moon and back, probes can go to Mars and beyond and be remote controlled from earth, satellites circle our globe supporting our communications, we can communicate with somebody the other side of the planet in a second, we have the power to blow up the world multiple times over and create human or animal life in a test tube in a laboratory, we`ve created crops that are now disease and pest free - super crops, with a world population of over 6 billion people we still manage to feed ourselves. Everything in life has now been explained and mankind is in charge. AI is in the pipeline, we are on the verge of a some sort of New World, and technology is making our lives easier and you could say is taking over our lives. You could also say that mankind gives the impression he is in charge on this planet and doesn't need God anymore?

But even now with all this power and control there are still certain things that cannot be explained, some things we cannot control. Weather we have no control over and with the recent extreme weather this planet has been experiencing, natural disasters and increasing activity in the Cosmos such as Asteroids and Meteorites, we have no control over these things either. All mankind can do is run for cover, run for the hills or evacuate. We know if we don't the consequences at best are injuries at worse mass deaths. No technology in the world can save us from these events, it can only warn or mildly reduce the impact.

Pandemics do flare up and fast as well as we have seen in the past, Aids. Ebola and more recently the Zika Virus being a case in point. Both these recent diseases are not that big in global terms but they do have a biblical tendency to them hiiting specific populations or genders and cures prove elusive in the short term. In recent times it is slowly dawning on mankind that maybe, just maybe, there is a higher power that controls what is going on in our world, an all seeing all powerful presence that sees and knows everything, infinitely more than we will ever know, even the very secret of life itself...............and so beyond science it's difficult to comprehend..

It's a common misconception that Science flies in the face of Religion, but science merely proves in a scientific way again that maybe there is a higher power at work here, all the other jigsaw pieces just don't fit otherwise.

As we have seen there are holes and flaws in the Big Bang Theory, Darwinism, Young Earth Creationism, The Steady State Theory and many other explanations on how we got here and where our roots actually are. The Bible requires a certain amount of faith, if you don't have that faith then it's just like reading a fairy tale. If you do have faith and understand the information that is contained within it, many doors are opened a lot of things that go on in this world start to make sense, things that happened exactly the same thousands of years ago when the Bible was written.

On a final note, If science says that our world and our universe were created via The Big Bang, why is it that even now after discovering planetary systems outside our solar system and knowing now all the planets within our solar system, Planet Earth is the only one that has the capability to sustain life and importantly human life. Why is that.............is there a scientific explanation for that or is it an act beyond human grasp and the realms of science in what can only be called "Divine Intervention" by a higher superior power??

If you believe in God, only God knows about how, when, where and how the world was created, he was the only one there at the time and is the only one that has the conclusive proof and evidence that these things actually happened. The question is...........do you believe there is a God?

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelation 1:8
